Dr. Chelsea Vallario is the head Chiropractic Physician and owner of Athlete Recovery and Chiropractic Health. She started this clinic shortly after moving to York County, SC in 2017. She strives to provide movement-based medicine to Rock Hill and her surrounding community.
She has traveled the country to achieve her education and career goals. She was born and raised in the heart of the Rocky Mountains in Glenwood Springs, Colorado. Being a multisport athlete her entire life, she naturally pursued a health- and sports-based education. With her love for sports and activity of all kinds, she was drawn to North Carolina in order to complete her Undergraduate degree. Dr. Vallario studied Kinesiology and Human Physiology at the University of North Carolina – Charlotte. She completed her undergraduate degree in three years allowing her to immediately begin her Doctorate program in St. Louis, MO. She has earned both a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Life Science, and a Doctorate degree in Chiropractic from Logan University (St. Louis, MO).
Dr. Vallario’s love for chiropractic began at age 16 after suffering from severe shin splints and debilitating knee pain to the extent of nearly ending her young athletic career. After a number of physicians were unable to explain or treat the pain, she was referred to a local chiropractor. Finally, someone was able to explain the source of her pain and mechanical dysfunctions causing it. She was treated accordingly and taught exercises to prevent it in the future. Within two weeks she was back on the field pain free for the first time in years.
Building on her positive personal experience, becoming a Doctor of Chiropractic aligned perfectly with her passion for helping others in both health and performance. Dr. Vallario is eager to provide the highest quality, proactive healthcare to her community of Rock Hill, SC.

- Sports Massage
- Table Thai
- Hot Stones
LMBT Megan Crago has been practicing massage therapy since 2012. She has spent several years fine tuning her skill set and tailoring her style of practice towards clinical bodywork. She currently remains active in performing massage for a number of pit crews in the IndyCar and NASCAR racing circuits. With the approach of treating the body as a whole unit rather than focusing solely on treating symptoms, she has helped a number of individuals improve their overall wellbeing. Finding the direct cause of an issue is always a challenge she welcomes.
Megan has a great deal of experience and a unique style of treatment which she developed in a variety of settings. Her time as a lead therapist and trainer in several corporate chains has given her the opportunity to work with a diverse clientele expanding her knowledge of the body. She has also spent time in the spa side of massage therapy creating a gentle but strong touch.
By using her knowledge of anatomy and clinical training, Megan describes her massage style as a wonderful blend of relaxation with structural integration. She specializes in clinical massage, deep tissue, and sports therapy. Other techniques utilized for a well rounded session include active stretching of muscles and joints. Her favorite modality is working with hot stones which create a deep penetrating warmth. Hot stones are an incredibly efficient way to relax and loosen stubborn tissues with ease.
Megan enjoys creating a custom session tailored to each client’s expectations and needs. She looks forward to helping give new life to your body and the York County community.

Christopher Barnes is a NASM Certified Personal Trainer, Corrective Exercise Specialist, and soon to be LMBT. His passion in life is to help people to move better and feel better, allowing for a healthier quality of life. He specializes in clinical bodywork along with functional and corrective exercise that helps to improve balance, posture, and strength in dynamic movement. This is achieved by performing thorough movement assessments that help to pinpoint movement impairments and range of motion limitations. The idea behind the corrective exercise is to find imbalances in the body that cause dysfunction and create movement impairments. When we are not moving well, we often feel pain or discomfort. He focuses on eliminating pain and improving movement patterns by releasing overactive tissues and/or strengthen underactive tissues.
His passion for human movement began at the age of 16 when he was diagnosed with Junior Rheumatoid Arthritis (JRA). He was put on a lot of medications that were slowly wreaking havoc on his body. He struggled with his weight getting up to nearly 280lbs and was constantly in pain. He then decided enough was enough and it was time to make a change.
Chris dove headfirst into a healthy lifestyle making fitness and nutritional changes while quickly becoming fascinated with the human body and its ability to heal. By taking a holistic approach and incorporating a heavy anti-inflammatory diet, he was able to lose over 100lbs and come off nearly all medications that had been prescribed by his rheumatologist. With all of his newfound knowledge, he decided to make a career change and become a personal trainer. Chris is now able to assist others in reaching their goals and make a positive change in their lives.
Shortly after starting his newfound career, he herniated a disc in his lower back. After an MRI he was referred to a neurosurgeon like many who suffer from disc problems. Chris decided against surgery and opted for another opinion. He saw a second neurosurgeon who suggested he seek other treatments such as chiropractic care. He made his appointment the very next day! In the past, he had always been a skeptic of chiropractors but when Chris completed the first adjustment he noticed immediate relief. The chiropractor saw his twice that week and after the second adjustment, he knew he was onto something great! His chiropractor put together a progressive plan over the next few months and before Chris knew it, he was back to work and daily activities with minimal pain. After slowly rehabbing himself back through corrective exercise over the next year he was able to make a full recovery and he is to this day surgery-free.
